Prada is an Italian fashion house founded in 1913 by Mario Prada, but it was not until much later that the brand ventured into the world of perfumery.

The first Prada perfume was launched in 2003, relatively late compared to other luxury fashion houses. This debut was simply called "Prada Eau de Parfum", and set the standard with its sophisticated, clean style, very different from the commercial fragrances of the time.
